ADVENTURE RETREAT “STEP BEYOND YOUR LIMITS!”    Zion Canyon, Utah. March, 2019

This retreat was designed for hard-working passionate women who want to reboot their mind, replenish their energy and gain new perspective on their situation in order to have clarity, confidence and ease in life.

RESULTS

By the end of this retreat, through inner and outer adventures, participants have made significant steps to more relaxed, balanced  and confident  selves and  learned priceless tools for staying in this mode.  Connected to their inner wisdom they are able to confidently stand in their power at home, work and in all their relationships.

 LOCATION

The name “Zion” means a place of peace and refuge. To the Mormon pioneers the term “Zion” referred to a heavenly city, making it the perfect moniker for this glorious canyon. The theme is continued with “Angels” “Temples” and “Thrones” designated among the towering sandstone formations. All of which are the perfect setting for myriad forms of adventure and escape, solace and solitude.  The intensity of the colors—the vivid ruby of the rocks, the clear sapphire of the sky, the emerald of the grass—make Zion National Park a treasure of the West.

ACCOMODATION AND FOOD

Some people think that hiking involves hauling heavy backpack, sleeping in a tent, cooking on a campfire and showering once a week.  You don’t have to do it this way. It’s not for everyone and you can get the same thrills of hiking AND comfortable bed AND hot shower every night. We stayed at a spacious open style house in a charming little town just 25 minutes away from Zion Canyon.  Two well equipped kitchens allowed participants to have breakfast just the way they  like it at home.  It’ was our comfortable and functional home base for expeditions. We were spending most of the days in the Zion Canyon,  each morning  packing a nutritious lunch and snack.

Day 2: Connection. Wild nature is a wonderful facilitator in connection with our inner self, our true desires, feelings and dreams. As you hike your  body burns stagnant energy and the wind takes your doubts away. Release those subtle (or loud!) limiting thoughts in your mind or old stuck emotions.

Slow time is a key to connection.

Do you feel overwhelmed and stressed in your daily life and need a break?

As we hike, meditate  and  breath in mountain air you tune into calmness of nature which is never in a hurry but there everything is accomplished.  This profound  peace is reflected in your body, emotions and mind.

Getting ready for the Narrows.  Dry suits, wading shoes, hiking poles to keep the balance in swift water.  None of the participants had experience of slot canyons before.

Day 3: Go Deeper. Narrows. What is your inner power that you’ve been hiding from yourself far too long?  We ventured into the unique slot canyon of Narrows which is a perfect metaphor and a place to explore one's inner wilderness and find the powerful and clear spring  - the source of one's energy.

Having fun and being challenged as we  wade through Virgin River in the Narrows.

Every bend of this unique slot canyon opens a new scenery and you  want to explore more.

Challenge your serious self! Goof off!

Get comfortable sitting in the muddy water. (Psst, you are protected by dry suit!)

Deep water hugs you gently but firmly.

Water slides on the side of the canyon.

Little break.  It feels so satisfying.

When I look at this picture I see a person who is fully alive, totally  in the present moment and deeply connected with their potential.

We are the champions!

It takes effort, perseverance and courage  to to walk this trail.

It's essential to pace yourself and  have  a good support. Isn't it true about any life path we walk?

Day 4: Internal Flight. As you stand at the top of this magnificent rock, you will let go of subtle sticky patterns (perfectionism, pushing, doing too much, inner doubt, you name it!) so you can courageously meet each new moment with freedom and confidence.

Angels Landing is one of the most stunning viewpoints you can experience.

She was very much afraid to hike steep and exposed Angel's Landing trail. She watched every video on Youtube about it. The night before she was not certain if she wanted to hike.  We had an honest  conversation  about her fears and she chose to face them next day.  With the trip leader being with her every step of the way with gentle guidance, she made it to the top.  She is a hero! When asked who she was going to tell about this day, she answered - "my husband, son, co-workers, everyone"! To the follow up question of "Who will be the most surprised?" her reply was "myself!"

Imagine yourself being on a sheer cliff facing vermillion canyons and verdant valleys. The beauty of great outdoors takes your breath away. You feel free; you are as strong as the wind. You are a part of this eternal energy of the earth, sun and air. This quiet, clear, calm energy spirals up your spine, stretching and soaring into the sky as your heart thrums with joy. All your restraints vanish into thin air. Here is who you truly are. Welcome to a new inspired and unstoppable you!

Stand in your power!
